Flowerbeds, 2022

Puuisto (2021) wooden pieces were recycled into a Flowerbed concept for Yhteisöpuutarha Plantis (eng. Community garden Plantis). Together with designer Aarni Tujula, two flowerbeds were designed and handcrafted in 2022. The flowerbeds are unprocessed wood which allows them to naturally turn gray, offer home for insects and while decaying: nutrients for the planted flowers. We selected and planted flowers that attract pollinators and therefore help the plants in the community garden and increase the diversity of the ecosystem in the nearby area.
